Algonquin College’s Retreat House Project was designed to challenge student’s to work within the site and a set of of programming requirements for real-life clients. Set on a site with a steep slope and lakefront conservation laws; the site dictated how the house could be situated and how the concept would take shape. Celebrating the forest and lake became the principal concept as the house reaches out into the landscape, both toward the dense trees and the Muskoka lake.

Using AutoCad and Sketchup as drafting and design tools and Twinmotion to render this project was completed in a four week period.
