Cambridge north kitchen

The inspiration for this kitchen makeover is provided by the 1910 Arts and Crafts style home in which it is set. The homeowners love to cook and entertain in a highly functional space but did not want to sacrifice their appreciation for design or the craftsmanship of the home. Taking cues from the era's aesthetic but giving it a contemporary flare were paramount in the design of the North wall cabinetry which holds fourteen feet of custom inset face-frame cabinetry including a pantry, display shelves and bookshelf. The appliances are kept on the opposite wall, keeping the North cabinet wall the feature of this kitchen.
